I cannot believe that we have put three nine weeks of school behind us! Less than 50 days of school left! Hard to believe. I am proud of how the children have progressed. Isn't it amazing to see that "little light bulb" grow brighter and brighter?
I am looking forward to our trip to Baa Moo Farm on Friday. I hope the weather will cooperate. This is a wonderful trip and I wouldn't want the children to be disappointed. We will make the trip rain or shine, unless there are torential rains! The buses cannot be rescheduled at such a late notice and Baa Moo does not have another day that will accomodate such a large group. If weather permits and I have enough time, I will try to snap a few pictures and post them for you to see.
Report cards will be distributed on Monday. Remember as you review your child's marks that we are at the end of the 3rd nine weeks and the stakes have changed since the beginning of the semester. Children are expected on a daily basis to read, write, count and "cipher" on an independent level. YOUR CHILD SHOULD DEFINITELY KNOW HIS/HER ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER BY THIS POINT IN THE YEAR! Expectations for quality of work, work effort, and high expectations for behavior have also been points of focus this past nine weeks. We will push hard to get the absolute most out of the last weeks of school. Continue to work on the homework activites and if your child has not mastered reading and writing all 26 of the kindergarten sight words, that should be a major part of the homework each night.
Thanks to those of you who took the time to fill out and return the survey for Fundations. Your child should receive their little piece of bribery today. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!:-)
