During the past two weeks kindergarten has been a very busy place! The children LOVED making the gingerbread houses last week. I hope that all of the houses made it home safely. If not, Elmer's white glue works wonders! A BIG THANK YOU goes out to those of you sent donations for building and to those who were able to come help with our project. We simply would not have been able to pull it off without you.
The children have enjoyed learning about reindeer this week. We learned many interesting facts about reindeer, including that they DO NOT FLY, and hopefully the children were able to share some of those facts with you. Make sure you ask your child about having reindeer food for snack on Tuesday.
On Thursday, December 18, our class boarded The Polar Express clad in pajamas for a train ride to the North Pole. During our ride we enjoyed sugar cookies and hot chocalate. The children also recieved a silver bell representing the spirit of Christmas. What FUN!
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!! Elijah Bowman and Addie Yang were selected as Terrific Kids representing our class for the month of November! Way to go!
I hope that you all have a very Merry Christmas! See you all in 2009!
